Happy Thursday, Reader!
If you’re like me, November brings nostalgia, and December demands big decisions. At least, that was me just a year ago.
Burnt out, barely making it to winter break as a high school teacher (if you know, you know).
I’d spent years pouring everything into others, only to feel disconnected from the joy and purpose I used to have.
I knew something had to change. But what?
In quiet moments, I’d escape to my happy place — my garden. That’s where I realized the answer had been there all along. Gardening wasn’t just a hobby; it could be my next classroom—a space to teach, inspire, and create.
I started asking, “What if?” and taking action on, “What’s next?” With podcasts and YouTube playing in my ears as I did dishes on late nights, I began mapping out a plan. It wasn’t about escaping my 9-to-5—it was about rediscovering purpose.
I built an emergency fund, set clear goals, and in June, closed the door to my classroom to *finally* take my business full-time. The transition wasn’t perfect (spoiler: it never is), but it was worth it.
In 2024, my business bloomed with affiliate marketing, digital product sales, partnerships with brands I love, my first out-of-state garden project, and mentoring other multi-passionate small business owners. Looking back, I have to laugh at how far I’ve come—and remind myself to give credit where it’s due.
It’s been messy. But so dang meaningful.
If you’re standing at your own crossroads, wondering if it’s time for a change, here’s my question for you:
What do you want to feel nostalgic about next November?

Been sitting with that idea, you're probably stuck wondering how it all works together? Or how to grow it?
Your ecosystem can start simple with three sentences:
- What do you do?
- How do you do it?
- Why does it matter to your people?
This reveals where your attention is needed. No more scattered seeds—just focused, intentional growth.

After vacation, my first round of growing garlic is *chef's kiss*
Perfect timing isn't about scarcity—it's about planting when conditions are right. Just like garlic needs that winter chill to thrive, sometimes our biggest growth happens during seasons of change.
